Psychotherapy
I'm here to help you unpack the past, understand your present, and create lasting, meaningful change through professional, compassionate therapy tailored entirely to your personal journey.
My Approach
My approach to counselling and psychotherapy is integrative, relational, and trauma-informed.

I believe that healing and change happen within the safety of a trusting therapeutic relationship, where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted.
I work collaboratively with each person, recognising that no single approach fits everyone. My practice draws from a range of therapeutic models, including person-centred, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approaches, alongside specialist training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I am particularly interested in how past experiences, relationships, and protective coping patterns shape the way we experience ourselves and others. I aim to support clients in developing greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and emotional regulation, while working at a pace that feels safe and respectful.
Above all, I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels warm, grounded, and non-judgmental — a space where all parts of a person are welcome.
Common Areas Covered in Therapy
People attend therapy for lots of different reasons. Whatever your reason, know that you will be heard and respected in a safe and non-judgemental place.
Self esteem
Life can throw all kinds of things at us. If you feel that your confidence has taken a hit, you're more than welcome to come share your story and together we can see how to make you feel you are on solid ground.
Learning Differences
Many of my clients first came to me for an assessment. If your experience of school and learning has negatively impacted your view of yourself or got in the way of your potential, we can look at this and make sense of the impact of that experience both in the past and the present.
Attachment
If early experiences with caregivers have negatively impacted how you connect with others or got in the way of your security in adult relationships, we can look at this and make sense of the impact of those attachment styles both in the past and the present.
Frequently Asked Questions
Pre-visit CHECKLIST
Have had a good nights sleep the night before
Eat beforehand, don't be hungry!
Wear comfortable clothes if possible
Arrive 5 minutes early so that you are not rushing.
How long are sessions?
You won't catch me watching the clock, but sessions are 50 minutes.
Do you offer online therapy?
Typically no, but once a client has been established, online therapy is an option in emergencies.
How often will we meet?
Typically we will meet once a week.
Sessions are 50 minutes long. A block of therapy is 24 sessions, (but can be shorter depending on goals). I like clients to take a break and see how they are at that time, with option to return after an agreed and comfortable timeframe. This allows clients to "road test" their progress and fine tune subsequent goals.
Accreditation
I am an accredited Chartered Psychologist with The Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) and an Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), and Accredited EMDR therapist with EMDR All Ireland.

Confidentiality
(Edit for Psychotherapy) All consultations, assessments, and session records are strictly confidential and protected by professional standards. Because educational psychology often involves supporting a child's learning environment, we may discuss sharing specific insights or strategies with teachers or schools - but this is only done with your explicit knowledge and written consent.
What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions. Think of therapy as a safe, judgement-free zone where you can completely let your guard down. As a registered therapist, your privacy is my top priority, and I legally and ethically protect your confidentiality. The only exceptions to this rule are rare circumstances where there’s a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, or if required by a court of law. But barring those extreme situations, you can breathe easy knowing that your stories, struggles, and secrets are entirely safe with me.
